It can be very slap stick in places which children will love, adults may appreciate the seamless transition between cartoon and film with precise special effects! One great aspect of the movie is it still has the same acting cast as the last movie(Breckin Meyer as Jon, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Bill Murray as Garfield). Garfield, never one to stay out of trouble, somehow manages to switch places with an identical cat - Prince (Tim Curry is the voice on this character), a cat who leads a life of luxury, but also having been left an estate is a target of Lord dargis who wants the property for himself! So begins a funny adventure which, though predictable, is entertaining until the end! But first to rewind.Jennifer Love Hewitt is in England on a conference, Brekin Meyer - Jon - follows her there with the intention of proposing, and Garfield together with Odie the dog, manage to come along for the ride too.yes folks, you have to leave all common sense and sense of reality at the door with this one, do that and you will be fine!! Billy Murray once again plays the voice of Garfield and hits it on the heat with the right balance of witt, apathy and sarcasm and this time we have a new star in the from of Billy Connolly who plays a scheming scoundrel trying to inherit an estate left to a cat - a cat who has inadvertently swapped places with Garfield.
